Hi there,

New user here from the Philippines, I have at least 5

of these ACER batteries -AS16A5K but unfortunately, the

chip 045A20 is not supported (see screenshot).

May I request that you add support for this kind of battery?

I have many customers  using this kind of battery laptop and it would be a great

help if this will be included in it's supported list for reset.

Thanks and more power...

All kind of requests should be posted in the Feature Request subforum. It is proper place there because here it could be lost with time when new topics appear.

Relating to this chip, it is custom controller manufactured specially for some companies which produce battery packs. It does not have any documentation in public so it is difficult to add support for it. In other words it is complete black box unlike TI controllers which have plenty of documentation.

Hello, always understand what caused the battery to stop charging. In your Case Cell:4 is under charged, balance the Cells first with a DC Power Supply

chip 045A20 is not supported yet.

 Are you joking ?

Cell 4 is in zero-volt state and should be replaced. Even you charged it with DC power supply it will not work as expected because dendrites already damaged electrode separator and it could cause cells overheating and self discharge.
