Hello Nicusor and everybody:
I was thinking about the possibility of having shorter time unlock offers (say, a mont, three months...), or even a "pay-for-unlock", or "pay-for-n-unlocks". This is because there are small repairers who won't use a whole year time period. Maybe I'm not the first to speak about this question, but I see it very interesting. In fact, when you buy the excellent and unique NLBA1, you are buying only 96% of the machine. The rest is the ability to unlock.
Excuse me if I'm repeating this topic, but I find it extremely useful.
Thank you.
We already had small period subscriptions in the past. 1, 3, 6 months.
But it was not popular, we had low sales and customers asked they are interested in long subscription like one year. So short periods were removed from license plans.
Hello, I am a private person, therefore I am not concerned with the business exploration of battery packs.
I want to buy a NLBA1 Pro to solve the problems with the battery packs I own.
However, I find it very objectionable that I only have 10 days to be able to use the RESET functionality.
Can you make subscriptions available for say, 10, 20, 30 RESET attempts for a reasonable amount.
I am thinking of 2 euros per RESET attempt as a contribution but without any time limit.
It would simplify my decision.

NLBA1 is professional product intended for business repairs. Its not oriented for private repairs. For private persons Its much cheaper to purchase new battery then to purchase NLBA1 tool.

Check competitors products. They dont offer any sort of trial periods. And their yearly subscription costs $1000 per year.
10 free days trial is currently revolutionary offer on the market provided by NIP-Embedded only, and it is enough to fix your own battery.

To develop such type of subscription its need to hire IT company to design special accounting software. It will cost us $10k extra investments. And we definitely not return it with suggested 2 Euro per battery unlock.
Selling licenses for shorter periods has an impact on different levels:
- we have to setup licenses more often and to monitor them more frequently (it takes a lot of time)
- we have to create more invoices, to pay more taxes and to pay more for the accountant
- we have to offer the same support even the license period is shorter
- people will try to bring a lot of batteries, buy a license for 1 month for example and repair all of them, this will create a big load on our servers
It is quite difficult to offer a license based on battery repaired number since the unsealing is different between the chips and most of the people could not repair them from a first try (1 count).
I understand your delemma, but there may be a large private market for your fine product if you offer a subscription with no time limit attached for a reasonable price.
The time limit is a real no-go.
Of course it's cheaper for a private person to just opt for a new battery pack, but we do treat our environment and thus the earth responsibly.
Therefore I always choose to repair products and replace only what is necessary and reuse the rest as long as possible.
Your product could make a valuable contribution to this.
So I would like to urge you once again to think about how you can offer private people an interesting product at a reasonable price.
If you still want to repair low number of batteries, you could purchase support ticket. One of our engineers will connect over AnyDesk to fix it remotely. It could be done in free time only due to other task priority.

We know this "private market" already. This is what we began from 5 years ago. It makes stuck all the design jobs due to noob questions overload. Technical support could spent full day to explain to each newbie what is a lithium cell, how to charge it, what is smart battery pack, how it is designed, how to balance the cells, how to replace the cells and so on. Tons of stupid questions were bombing our forum, WhatsApp, emails. Every new day started from same questions. They did our workflow like a nightmare. When boiling point was reached, we said STOP.
So thanks for your suggestion, but its not acceptable for us. Instead we could offer you to organize worldwide forum to help private peoples to repair their own batteries. They will be thankful to you.

You are right here. Private person should NOT repair the batteries. Batteries are considered like CONSUMABLES. They have NO USER SERVICEABLE parts inside. They contain lithium cells inside which are dangerous when not properly handled. Just imagine everyone who even dont understand safety concerns beyond the lithium could have access to engineering tool and set random charge voltage or cancels protection settings. Thats why no way for private repairs. Private person should bring his gadget to service center so qualified personnel will replace the battery for new one.

We have 10 years option.
@djibattworkshop that's the reason why I'm proposing "pay for unlock" feature. You have one battery locked?, no problem, you pay and unlock it.
How many $$ are you ready to pay for 1 unlock ?..
