You did not follow recommendations about current limiting and charging the cell in CV mode what is not safe for lithium cells. Switch the power supply to CC mode and set current to 0.5A.

Until current drops to 0.05A.

No. It is connected in parallel with main cell and charged simultaneously.

Yes. Lithium cells use CV-CC charge method. After CC stage is completed CV stage begins. Charge considered finished when CV stage continued untill Taper current is reached.

@djibattworkshop

Hi
I finished charging up to 0.5A, tested the battery with NLBA (see photo), it marks Cells Balance: Poor Balance. I managed to charge the battery 100%.

Capture

I can put the battery on the Macbook Pro 13 A1502 to check, if it sees the battery ?

I have a question, how do we know how to charge the battery up to 0.5A?

THANKS

I finished charging up to 0.5A,

there is misunderstanding about charge current and taper current

me recommend you to visit Battery University portal to get familiar with lithium cells basics

Posted by: @macfix-fr

it marks Cells Balance: Poor Balance.

because balance was not finished

also you did not check self discharge rate like was adviced

ignoring these steps could cause battery issues later on

After 2 days charging with 0.50 A,

normally there is no need to balance so long

another tip to make balance much faster is to charge lagging cell slightly higher that other.

in this example Voltage trimmer should be set to 4210...4230 mV instead of 4200, especially if the cell has increased self discharge rate
