So these are the results:

Do you know why the QEN and QMAX bits are still red (enabled) ?

Thanks

Looks like calibration cycles were successful.

Do you know why the QEN and QMAX bits are still red (enabled) ?

This is absolutely normal and was explained already perfectly by @djibattworkshop

Thanks to both of you. Apologies for not understanding it correctly the first time. As you pointed out it is very well explained below.

Another tip which is not compulsory but preferable to do to monitor relearning progress. After rebuilding its recommended to change Update Status on GG page to 0. It will switch off Impedance Tracking and clear QEN bit. With this initial value of 0 you could monitor how relearning goes. Send Gauging OpCode to enable Impedance Tracking. Then Update Status will change to 0x06 and QEN bit will change to 1. Then Send SoftReset 0x0012 subcommand. From now on you could start relearning. Update Status has its own status bits described in TRM which could set as soon as each relearning step completed. Final value after successive relearning should be 0x0E which means Qmax and Ra-tables were successfully updated in learning cycle

I will start now and post results later. I will also try to make a tutorial in the tutorials section if that is OK for you?

@kevin

Did you make this tutorial as you intended?

Also can you give the link for BqEvSw of this chip as my request was rejected by TI and I need to do the same for HP CM03XL chip BQ30Z55 -FW V0.36.

thanks for sharing. doesn't matter if in text format. I will upload result if succeeded.

one more thing, can you explain how to calculate FC and TDA Threshold values in step 10?

In gas gauging tab settings are the same as for BQ20Zxx so you can follow tutorial.

OK, thanks. I'll do it and post a screenshot.

In SBS configuration tab you must Change also the FC & TCA Tresholds.

How do I calculate these thresholds?

Charge Voltage & Charge Current can be edit in Advanced Charge Algorithm tab

Thanks!

bq20xxx calibration procedure does not has these values, you asked @torture about these values.

So you have the answer now?

actually, there was no answer by @torture about threshold values and your post was

Posted by: @kevin

I have set thresholds under SBS configuration as follows:

it is 8 months old post and I accept the answer that you don't remember Smile .

anyways, thanks for the help.

Ok, now I get it. The FC and TCA thresholds are according to the max charged voltage of your cells. In my case, it was for 4.2v cells and therefore 4200mV.
