some batterys after  years  in a box.......locked  .....with  only 1v  cell.....fixed .....and work  good

first i did some hall right and left....i gave  volt....then unlock........done !!!

 for precharging you could drill only one hole at most positive cell, Ground contact is always available at battery connector.

and one more tip, always use small precharging current like 0.05...0.1A until cells reach 3v level, then you have more chances to recover deep-discharged cells.

 some LiPo cells in modern slim batteries could be recovered even from 0.5v level

I observed that when I charge the cells directly the power MOSFETs (charging and discharging) get hot.

One cable end can be cut and connected to a 4P green connector (NLBA) side.

I have the above connector type and it is fine.
