on resetting, LED turns on and then off. is this due to unbalance??

 No.

No. 

Manufacture Access 0xA90A means AFE lock. It is another chip located on the pcb near bq20984. It could not be reset by the software. Try completely power Off pcb, wait 15min, then reconnect it back in correct order. Then try Clear Chip errors.

 No. Just for some Dell batteries.

 For public chips error flags described in appropriate datasheets. 

We plan to add translation to Chip Info button in next releases.
