Really good results. Also the capacity measured by the NLBA1 hardware is quite the same as the one reported by the chip.

Have you replaced the cells for this battery ? Cycle count is not reset and the battery is 9 years old.

No cell replacement in this case. All I did was change the FCC from 435mA to 4300mA and recalibrate so I did not edit/update the cycle count and manufacturing date.

It would be nice to get customer feedback how long this battery will work in laptop.

Less than 10 days 🙁

Battery has been returned since laptop is reporting permanent failure. NLBA reports that the battery is locked!

I did not change anything yet (no reset, charging etc) in this battery. Any idea why this happened?

Thanks

Can you perform a Cell Check to see the internal resistance ?

Should I reset the BMS first?

Cells are perfect. Paste first snapshot after reset as well.

Was the fuse blown on this battery after customer returned it?

Snapshots in order.

No, the fuse is intact. I am suspecting that the issue is with the laptop.

One thing is not clear for me, why the original FCC was 435mAh ? Somehow the chip measured this capacity ... It could be a chip/firmware issue too.

I wish I know the answer 🙂 That is how I received that battery. Could it be an issue with the laptop?

FCC=435mAh before shipping, the original capacity, before resetting the chip.

Yes exactly. When the customer gave me the battery, the FCC was 435mAh but the battery label states 48Wh 11.1v i.e. 4324mAh.

But I do not know why the FCC was set to just 435mAh.

Perhaps shipping company asked for that ?

Which shipping company? This battery was working correctly when the customer bought the laptop.
