One topic is for one battery only, do not mix other batteries in the same topic.

All TI chips which have "z" in the middle of the name, like bq30z55, are Impedance Tracking, the technology does not allow editing the FCC. The FCC is computed dynamically by the chip itself. After replacing the cells you need to perform a relearning FCC cycle:

- Charge the battery to Fully Charged and wait 2 hours

- Discharge the battery to Fully Discharged and wait 5 hours

- Charge the battery to Fully Charged and check the FCC

After cells replacement chip should be reprogrammed for new cells. Read our tutorials how to do it.

Battery on second picture was originally equipped with LiHV cells designed to be charged to 4.35v per cell. If you installed ordinary Li-Ion cells with 4.20v at full charge they could be damaged very fast. You should always refer to what was originally installed and use exactly the same cells, otherwise complex reprogramming is necessary.
