no, it was not discharged at all.

Check the Current value logger. All three positions are zero. If discharge would take place even for few seconds, then minimum value should be logged there.

Is it front LED is On?

Looks like no, so there is no output voltage at the connector and it could not be discharged.

hello friends , i unlocked the hp battery but is discharged for a while and stop and is fully charged so i want to discharge it. and the health is not displayed. so i dont no wot can cos it to stop discharging.

 

What is the first rule in Repairing Laptop Batteries ?

Check the cells: pre-charge them to about 3000mV, reduce the imbalance, etc. You have a big imbalance, more than 300mV between the cells.

So, check the above rule first and reduce the imbalance.

The next rule is to check the fuse.

What about creating a tutorial like How to Reset and Repair a Laptop Battery - General steps ? where we can put the generic steps (maybe rules) and we can refer them in the discussions.

I am planning to release an algo to compute the imbalance.

The problem is that nobody is reading the tutorials.

We have already 3 and they are the most detailed ones that a person can find on the whole internet space.

And the biggest problem is that 99% of users don't recell batteries.

They just want to push clear PF button and expect the problem to be solved.

My opinion is that the algo should disable reset feature from a preset value like 200-300mv.

So balance or replace cells first & then Reset is available.

@torture ,it will be nice if you create it that will help also for us who is still learning about how to fix bad batterys

I understand this is hard for begginers, we were also begginers some time ago.

The difference is back in the days nobody was explaining nothing to you, everything you had to learn yourself by lot of testing and trial & error and also a lot of destroyed PCB's & bricked chips from mistakes.

We are always here to help and there is so much detailed information on this forum.

We have covered everything: How to analyze & find faults, How to replace cells, How to calibrate Z family chip, How to restore all types of Fuse, Even how to use BQEvsw to reprogram chips (which is still considered as "top secret" by TI).

@azzido also made many explanational videos how to work with NLBA software & what are the main components inside a laptop battery.

@torture, I really appreciate your concerns about us that is doing this battery repair cos is not easy for us but we are doing our best to make sure that we get it right. Thanks for your help and support. It kind of gives me hope to make it. 

@batfix, I want to ask a questions, how can one if a fuse is bad or not, what is the sign or the problem it will bring. Thank you
