Lenovo chip not supported
My Lenovo battery is chip is not supported by the NLBA. How can I you help me unlock it. Ienovo R1122j-732
This bq8030a chip with Sanyo firmware is supported but for some reasons battery parameters were not read at all on Step 1 of Reset Tab.
Try read it once again.
By the way error message shows "Chip not detected", this is what should be used when titling the topic.
Another case where customer confused what is actually happened when bus is not read at all. Hope proper error handling and additional warning messages will be added in next release to assist in such a situations.
I am confused too. On one page he has data while on the other page he has no data. In one page he has Power On button while in the other page does not.
The user must understand what Power On does and how to use it.
Press Power OFF in the first tab, reconnect the battery and see if you have data. If you have data then press Power ON in the Reset Tab and reconnect the battery.
hi, it has seen the chip ,so how will i flash the chip and reset it
You no need to reflash it. Just Clear chip errors to unlock it.
error clear what next
Check the fuse
i have remove the fuse and bridge it and check it again it first show unlock and lock up again. wot can wrong
Fuse should not be removed. It has a heater inside and chip checking its condition. If something wrong it locks the battery. Check our tutorial how to properly recover the fuse.
Also, note that cell1 is imbalanced compared to the other 2 cells. The deviation is about 200mV which is high.
Have you replaced the cells ? if not, then the current cells are worn, they have more than 300 cycles already and are 9 years old. Combining this information with the cell1 imbalance, after a successful reset then the battery will probably work for a very very short period.
