I have a HP PV03XL. 8 Pin : +1,D3,C4,-8
Got unit to read, but all 3 cells show 0V. Wont charge, and I tried to connect as system present even though I never had with these batteries.
Can't charge or discharge.
Detected chip (database) =
Detected chip (SMBus) = BQ40Z551 FW v5.03
If I try to reset, I get failed communication.
Do you have this error on other batteries ?
No, not that I have seen. I'll try a couple out to make sure
Nope, just hooked up a new Dell battery "FGY3T"
, and charges / discharges as it should.

Reconnected the HP battery again and it's fine? All working as it should. Strange

@azzido yes, same one. Not sure what happen. I tried 2 more batteries after, and works as it should. The next two batteries were different. But the one acting weird, now reads and controls as it should.
