Would it be fine if I replace ICR18650-22F with BAK H18650CQ and then change just the FCC from 4400mAh to 5100mAh on the BMS?

The parameters seem to be similar or better. Specs of both below:

Brand: Samsung
Model: ICR18650-22F
Capacity: 2200mAh Rated
Voltage: 3.60V Nominal
Charging: 4.20V Maximum
Charging current (standard): 1100mA
Charging current (max): 2200mA
Discharging: 2.75V Cutoff
Discharging current (standard): 440mA
Discharging current (max): 4400mA

Brand: BAK
Model: H18650CQ
Capacity: 2550mAh Rated
Voltage: 3.60V Nominal
Charging: 4.20V Maximum
Charging current (standard): 1250mA
Charging current (max): 2500mA
Discharging: 2.75V Cutoff
Discharging current (standard): 2500mA
Discharging current (max): 7500mA

Thanks

Yes, you could proceed with FCC change only. Then run Discharge Test with cells voltages, current and RSoC plotting to evaluate the BAK cells discharge curves.

By the way, what is chip type?

FCC could not be changed directly on this chip using Nlba plugin.

Do you have bqEVSW and ev2300?

I have EV2400 and bqEVSW but did not manage to find the specific one for bq20z45 with firmware 1.04. I only have for bq20z45R1 v1.00 and v1.05.

Do you have these by any chance? If so can you send it to me, please?

Thanks

Unseal the chip using NLBA1, then reconnect battery to ev2400, Select v1.05 plugin, Go To DataFlash and Select "Gas Gauging" page. Paste screenshot here. Me will check if this page has same map as v1.04 version.

Thanks for that. I will let you know once I recell and unlock the chip.

By the way, the BQEVSW version required for this is bqEVSWSetup00.09.59_bq20z45v1.04d

but unfortunately, the link is dead.

You could request this version directly from TI support.

Explain them you are working with a packs which no longer produced but equipment is in service, so you need to rebuild the batteries.

It gives an error but that is most probably because I have not connected the cells and unlocked the device yet.

Thanks

A TI expert is already working on it. If I get those files, I'll attach them in this post.

Thanks

Can I connect dummy resistors instead of cells for the time being? If so what resistance values shall I use?

Thanks,
