[Solved] Toshiba PA5185U-1BRS Chip 045A20 LGC - how can I change voltage cells in EEPROM?

I have recelled Toshiba PA5185U-1BRS Chip 045A20 LGC.

It has unlocked  and reset FCC succesfully (while it did not change design capacity -it is still 3000 mah)

I am trying to change cells voltage 4350 to 4200 mV, is it possible?

I have edited EEPROM, 4350 appeared four times , I have changed 4350 (FE 10) to 4200 (68 10) but charge voltage is still 17400 (for HDV cells)

You can't do it like that. These values are protected by checksum. Even if you manage the change them the chip will lock because the checksum will not be computed correctly.

I know for sure that this battery model has corrupted firmware.

It sets FC bit when cells are at around 3.9v that's why charging current is reduced now because cells are almost at that voltage.

Leave it charging 20-30min until FC bit is set, to confirm you have the same issue.

@torture any suggestion for that issue?

No. Only flashing with a dump from a proper working battery.

@torture I had another battery, I copied eeprom from it. It seems working OK now. Thanks!
