1st pic This shows battery reading OK but not well balanced
2nd pic starts charging seconds before program exits
Same abort behavior on charging all batteries since.
Can I return to prior software version?
I'm using same version with absolutely no problems.
By the way doesn't the orange color of the cell volatges mean something to you?
I get laptop packs from the local recycle place so most are pretty discharged (orange).
Was just salvaging cells till I got the NLBA.
Tried 4 packs with the same crash result on charging.
The reported crash issue went away when I removed the charginglog file.
In order to prove that was the cause I put the charginglog file back.
Cannot fault the program now so the crashing cause is still a mystery.
Happy to have NLBA working normally again
It is not possible to roll back to the previous order due to security measurements.
We can test the previous version in a remote desktop session.
Try this:
- Go to Cells Check tab (for a good battery, balanced) and run the test, is it crashing ?
- Run the application in Administrator mode and try charging again, still crash ?
Thanks for your suggestions.
Sorry just my humor.
Not serious about going back to the previous version.
Thought it could be tripping trying to write to the charginglog log file.
Nice new feature by the way.
The issue stuck around for different discharged, out of balance batteries.
Now I cannot get it to repeat the behavior on bad unbalanced batteries.
Will keep at it.
Using an admin equivalent account for normal operations but will run as admin if issue returns and update here.
When the issue comes back, just stop and contact me to see what is happening.
Thank you both for the prompt on point support.
100% sure it was a rights issue in the application directory when writing the new log files.
Gave my admin equivalent account same rights in the directory as Admin.
No issues since and now using version 3.5.6
