Hello,

I have a few Apple laptop battery packs with a model number of A1582. They are Li-Polymer battery packs with a rating of 11.42V/74.9Wh/6559mAh.

According to the database, there is no pinout on the system, it says "no pinout found".

See attached photos for the battery configuration and connector.

Kind regards,

Spotify95.

Hi. I've just conneted a similar battery (A1493) and found the right PinOut as follow: +1,+2,+3,C4,D5,T6,-7,-8,-9. Assuming negative pin is towards the center of the battery. The pin T6 is necssary to abilitate the charging or discharging of the battery. In many cases the 3 middle pins are the pins for C, D and T connections.

The microcontroller, BQ20Z45 can be reset or not, depending on the firmware version. (Mostly not).

Good luck!

Hi, thanks for your quick reply.

Just tested it and that's correct with this model (A1582) - the pinout that you mention works perfectly.

I didn't have the right sort of connector for all of the pins, so used +1 C4 D5 T6 -9 and this works perfectly fine too.

I've seen this on other Macbook batteries too (all from the same bundle) - they are +1,+2,+3 and -7,-8,-9 with the other three pins being C, D and T. Sometimes pin 6 is another GND (-) instead of T.

I'll get that submitted for entry into the database - thanks!
