Dears,
Thank you so much. Forgot to informed that the issue was resolved already since yesterday. Please marked this concern as resolved.
So what was the pinout ? Helps the next guy
Hello, the battery for my Dell Latitude 5480 is a different model: 3DDDG (11,4V).
I have tried the pinnout |+|+|+|C|D|-|SP|-|-|-| presented in the another discussion for 10 pin Dell battery, but did not work. Power and output leds are on but the system is not reading anything.
Any suggestions?
Then GND and VBAT are fine. Play with remaining pins for clock and data.
I've got some pinouts for my batteries:
Dell Latitude 5480 3DDDG and GJKNX (chip bq40370)
Dell Latitude 5470 NGGX5 and 6MT4T (chip bq40320)
G -1 -3 -4
D 6
C 7
V +9 +10
I've used the 10-pin connector plugged to the original battery cable in both cases (the battery conector is too tiny to use with the probes).
Dell Latitude 5470 NGGX5 and 6MT4T (chip bq40320)
G -1 -3 -4
D 6
C 7
V +9 +10
At least 6MT4T battery has different pinout. Pin 4 is System Present.
Here me posted correct one.

@djibattworkshop yes, I did saw your post before trying to find the pinouts. But strangely, it didn't work for me. I tested one by one and is working now, at least for me =) Thank you.
At least 6MT4T battery has different pinout. Pin 4 is System Present.
I can confirm this is the case for NGGX5, which is compatible with 6MT4T.
I recently had to deal with a NGGX5 battery and pin 4 is definitely SP. I used the following pinout at first:
Dell Latitude 5470 NGGX5 and 6MT4T (chip bq40320)
G -1 -3 -4
D 6
C 7
V +9 +10
But since I only used pin1 for GND, assuming pin 4 was GND and not SP, the battery was locked and could not be charged/discharged. As soon as I connected pin 4 to GND the battery unlocked and worked like a charm on the NLBA. Pin 4 should be marked as T (SP) in the database search feature of the software.
|+|+|+|C|D|-|SP|-|-|-|
This is the correct pinout, just reversed. So most positive would be pin 10 and most negative pin 1. This is true for the NGGX5 I had, but I cannot confirm for sure for 6MT4T since I don't have one on hand.
Hope it helps
I have had some strange results whilst testing GJKNX Dell batteries. I have been using |+|+|+|C|D|-|SP|-|-|-| as my wiring layout. This tests successfully on the machine. My issue is I purchased 8 new batteries from BTi (batterytech.com) i plugged into laptop and everything boots up normally no warnings. I then ran read all once on battery info tab all info was successfully read. The battery was then returned to laptop and on bootup there was error shown in image. This does not happen on a genuine Dell GJKNX why would it happen on BTi refurbished ? any ideas gratefully received.
Its happened when too thick plug was inserted into battery connector. Then pin tightness is lost and laptop could not read a battery. The solution is to recover the tightness with a needle and to use proper connectors.
