how to update device FW version to 1.12. current version 1.11
To update device firmware there are two options:
1. Sending the device to Romania, flashing the new firmware and shipping back the device. (Free flashing but shipping must be supported by sender)
2. Flashing the firmware to a new chip and shipping it via UPS to the customer. The customer has to replace the chip. The total cost is $80.
@nex
can u send me new flashing FW version file, i can write flash at my owner device .

can u send me new flashing FW version file, i can write flash at my owner device .
Absolutely not, it is completely forbidden.
Anyway, the change from firmware V1.11 to V1.12 is minor.

I bought the device in April with version 1.02, I want to use the battery reset option and pay for support for a year, and as far as I can see I am not able to. For something that can be done remotely it is not clear to me why we have to send the device back to do it especially in this time of pandemic.
@bizniss
Reset laptop battery chip is a new option added in July. It has nothing to do with NLBA Analysis's main function. At the time when you bought the device such a feature was not planned. Now, if someone wants such a feature he has to follow the explained procedure. The firmware cannot be updated by the user due to security reasons.
All Reset features are New and Payable, they are not free. We don't have an exact plan right now since it is under development.
Right now only BQ8030 Sanyo chip can be repaired and it costs $20 per month.
My testers are running Firmware 1.10. Are the changes between 1.10 and 1.12 still minor. And per our conversations since first getting the testers, we are planning on resetting chips and have spoke with you regarding your business offer to us regarding training us on resetting different chips.
Why can't you update Firmware remotely via your server? Companies here in the US do it all the time! Your requiring a lot of down time to ship from US, Romania and back again!
Here is my concern about sending the device back to you. If I send my 6 machines to you (all at once or one at a time), (we were wanting 20 more) you update to 1.12 and then you decide to update the firmware again after you have already mailed (enroute) them back? Now I have to pay round trip postage again, not to mention temporary loss of use of the testers while in transit not just once, but now twice? And then every time you decide to update your firmware?
I like using your testers. But! I respectfully request that you rethink your business plan regarding your firmware update process.
Do you have an update on the cables that we ordered?

Due to security reasons, firmware update options are already described here. There are millions of products that can be remotely updated and millions of Chinese copies at the same time.
There are no bug fixes in the new firmwares after 1.10, so, devices works perfectly fine with 1.10, they are just new options. Firmware V1.13 contains a custom feature supported by a customer.
Shipping 6 devices back to me is not a good option due to customs and import fees in Romania. It is much simpler and cheaper to ship 6 new chips and replace them.
If you plan to buy 20 new devices then you can get those 6 new chips for free. You just need to replace the chips and to perform a calibration of the devices together.
hi Nicusor tell how to buy this chip of frimewaire last version 1.13 pls i need speed solution because i was pay 12month abbonement
thank you
I gave you already several options. Just read the emails. You don't need to post and ask on each communication channel. All communication channels arrive at me.
I would like to know is mu device compatible with the new reset. The firmware on the device is 1.10 and I bought it in November 2020. I am just after reading this. so now I don't know if it is or not.
Yes it is compatible.
But in order to use the Reset features of NLBA you need to buy a Reset Licence.
