Hello, i am having an issue with a batch of Mavic 2 pro third-party batteries. There is no puffiness on the batteries but the LED indicator is acting weirdly. The indicator only shows 1 bar while charging and when turned on. When I try to connect the pack to the software I am able to read the info and the battery seems to be fine. They also charge to 100% but when connected to the drone it only shows 7% battery and some packs after taking flight it not charge again. If any have dealt with this kind of issue please help out
third-party batteries
These aftermarket copy batteries have fake chip inside instead of branded Texas Instruments bq9003 chip with bq40z307 firmware.
Thats why such weird behaviour is observed.
Go to Reset tab, press Unseal button, press ReadChipInfo button. Try to read eeprom.
It is because chinese fabrique installed another chip in this battery. Do you have ev2300 or ev2400 clone adapter ?..
@djibattworkshop No but will going to help in any then I will try to arrange it.
These fake batteries are difficult to repair. Its better to contact seller and replace them if they are on the warranty.
@djibattworkshop These are no longer in warranty the cells seem to be in good condition. Is there any way? I can try disassembling to check if I can find the chip name or anything will it be worth the effort?
They use SinoWealth SH79F329AX chip with custom firmware. The only working solution if to replace the whole pcb by bq9003 genuine board. It could be taken from puffy used battery. There are also some lots on chinese marketplaces for sale.
