Does anyone have information on this ?
Does anyone have information on this ? I'm part of the SRT team here and I have a fleet of DJI Inspire 1 V2 Batteries and was wondering if anyone has tried this or knows how to setup ? We are now adding Mavic and would be happy to post finds on them as well. I know a big part is the batteries getting out of balance. Can this fix this ?
They are getting ready to discontinue the Inspire 1 V2 and we may have to pillage cells from batteries to make good sets. It would be great to find this out, or I would be happy to post my information I have 🙂

Welcome to the forum!
This drone section is very new here so there is still no content available. But in future we plan to add some tutorials on how to balance, fix or even recell DJI drones batteries and produce double-capacity battery mods. Also in long perspective we plan to release software to reprogram DJI batteries management chips. So repacking works could be done properly and battery report correct SoC to the drone. All is step by step.
I know a big part is the batteries getting out of balance. Can this fix this ?
Yes, while Dji Mavic Pro battery uses 3 cells, Dji Inspire one has 6, so unbalancing is a real issue there especially when battery is not new or was stored for a long time.
Luckily in some cases it could be rectified by opening top cover and individually balancing each cell with Lab Supply or RC-balancer.
@djibattworkshop I'll try to get the information together I have so far on these batteries. Do you have a source for the individual cells ? I'm working with a company that works with companies in Japan to contact the manufacture in Japan in hopes of getting individual cells. What I have found is they have little to no interest in working with Americans....lol
Hopefully we get this section rocking
The cells used in all DJI batteries are of custom design. Specifically produced for DJI by Chinese ATL Company. Some factory uses LGC or CosLight cells. Most of the batteries use LiPoHV cells with 4.35 and 4.40V at full charge. So they could not be one2one replaced with standard LiPo 4.2V cells even of similar size.
There are although some Chinese factories that produce copy-cells for Dji drone batteries, but their performance not so good as authentic cells. You could find it on AliExpress or Taobao platforms.
I assume this company would not sell this configuration of battery now that DJI isn't manufacturing them ? I have re-celled a couple with known good cells when I have a few go bad.
Lots of cash invested in this bird 🙂
