This tester has successfully tested batteries all day. Then on only  one battery I received this error while charging overnight. Is there? Or should I investigate why think happened and how would I go about that?

Again this occurred overnight when we were not here.

This error is triggered when there is a timeout in the communication between PC and NLBA device. Could it be that overnight somehow the USB activity got interrupted? Can you go into Device Control -> Read FF and paste here the log ?

@nex This happened during the day in between all testers being actively used? And when we tried to read FF? Computer was not able to read it? We now longer have the battery, however this is good information going forward even if answer is a general explanation.

@str8nfast

You can read FF once you get communication with the device again.

I have had the same thing come up but it was instant. It didn't even attempt the charge. It also happened on 4 batteries of the same type.

Is the device connected to the motherboard USB port or through a HUB ?

Which Operating System are you using ?

Please go into Device Control -> press Read FF and paste here the log content.

Did you observe this with a specific battery or is it happening with all batteries ?

I have had a lot of instances where I get the message bad communication with the battery while trying to charge it. Is there a way to improve the communication of the batteries.

The error is not related to battery communication, it is related to the communication between PC and NLBA device. Such an error was reported only by you and another user up to now.

Can you check on another USB port or another machine ?

Don't forget about these:

Is the device connected to the motherboard USB port or through a HUB ?

Which Operating System are you using ?

Please go into Device Control -> press Read FF and paste here the log content.

I have tried another machine and it charged a HP battery excellent. I have tried a Dell battery and have the old message come up after 45 mins.
