Hi. I have a BQ30Z55 for my own Asus laptop. I have tried resetting the chip but the battery is locked and when I clear chip errors it is in a second that PF shows 40 again. What to do?

@torture Hi. I checked the sensor and nothing seems to be wrong. Even the nlba1 software can read temp as 26C.

Measure the resistance between these 2 points on the PCB.
Value is normal.
If you have EV2300 connect the battery to BQEvsw to check registers.

Connect the battery to EV2300 and read it with BQEvsw.
BQevsw is not related to NIP Embedded and NLBA.
It is Texas Instruments proprietary software so you should contact them.
FET temperature is indicated as 231 degrees.
On some PCB's there is a small SMD probe used to indicate the temperature which could be damaged during dissasembly.
Make a good quality close up photo of this area.
