Can we use ( Imax Balance Charger/Discharger ) for Calibration?
No. You could use it for charge some type of batteries. But for discharge it has quite low rating just 6W. Its not enough for most of laptop batteries.
For discharge you need electronic load like DL24 or equivalent.

Yes. But keep in mind this device does not have all the features like NLBA1 tool has it.
iMax can be used to balance the cells after opening the battery enclosure.
An electronic load cannot calibrate a battery since charging cannot be done by an electronic load. NLBA1 can do full automatic calibration cycle(s) in just one click.
