Hello,
I need advice on how to connect a battery to an EV2200 device. I am sending a picture of the battery diagram and the connection to the EV2200. Is it connected correctly? Does the EV2200 need external power or is it powered from the COM port? Thank you all.

Yes, I think the connection is right.
If it does not read the battery, you should try to wake up the battery, applying a voltage of 6 Volts between V+ and V-
