no idea, it is custom chip developed by TI for Dell. There is no detailed information for all its features in public. If this option is disabled on all packs at the factory it was a reason to do it.
is this chip IT gauge? if not why this option is there? noted this disabled in every chip by default. will enabling make any difference?

specific plugin is required for every chip with respect of FW version to reprogram the chip. bqstudio is software by TI. TI website should be used for their support.
