I cannot use the DJI charger because the connectors are different on the two AC chargers (See Pic). Could I disconnect the DJI Lipos from the Autel BMS board and chagre them with the DJI Phantom 3 AC charger seperately, them reconnect them to the Autel BMS board?
Could you point out on what parameters need to be reprogrammed in TI BQStudio form previous posts?
I have recently bought a DJI Phantom 3 Pro and get about 18-22 minutes of flight time on the DJI batteries. Does this sound about right?
As stated previously Autel management has decided not to make replacement batteries for the Xstar Premim 4k drone leaving thousands of us high & dry with a $1200 paper weight. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated. I hate to throw away my Autel drones. The DJI Phantom 3 Pro and Autel Xstar Premium and very very similar in design and capabilites.

No. It is not correct charge method.

You could manufacture adapter board to connect Dji Charger to Autel battery.
Alternatively any RC-models universal charger with LiHv support could be used. Below is example how to connect SkyRC iMax B6 mini charger to Autel EVO 2 battery using crocodiles and copper plates. For X Star Premium connection follow battery pinout.
In your case LiHv 4S profile should be selected in Charge menu.

Basing on the pictures attached eeprom was not decoded correctly.
For example voltages on 1st Level Safety page have negative sign and outside reasonable range.
Have you selected correct bqEVSW plugin to read the chip ?..

Dji claims 25 minutes of max flight time for Phantom 3 drone in the ideal condition. It means steady flight at 25 kmh at no wind, 20 degC outside air temp, no recording to SD card.
So 18-22 min could be Ok in real conditions.
@djibattworkshop I have both of these so I'll give it a try............
@djibattworkshop When BQstudio loads it ask for the BMS chip (i.e BQ3055, BQZ3055.... etc) is this the plugin you mean? I'm busy the next few days so I'll send you the sceenshots from BQStudio. Many Thanks !!!!
Yes, bqEVSW has many different plugins. It is selected on the fly on startup but if not found it asks to select it manually.
Autel X Star Premium battery uses bq3055 chip with v0.04 firmware version.
But v0.02 plugin was used to handle the chip.
So eeprom was not properly decoded.
@djibattworkshop My imax B6 Lipo Balance Charger doesn't have HV mode. I do'nt know if there is a firmware upgrade on this model. Do you know ? I ordered the one you have sent me in the previous pic the Imax B6 Mini. There is a firmware upgrade on this model to upgrade so in can charge in HV mode.
The Lipo's I got from a Chines Supplier look to be DJI OEM Phantom 3 Lipos... 3.8V 4500mAh Date Code 20190422. Part No. : 844297NSH5-HV. What do you Think ?
I do'nt know if there is a firmware upgrade on this model
You could check their website
iMax B6 mini for example has LiHv update in stock no need to update it.

These cells are not genuine. Dji uses ATL cells for Dji P3 drone.
Cells received from chinese marketplaces should be checked on electronic load on subject of IR and mAh values to sort into one assembly. Otherwise it could be big enough unbalance under the load between difference cells.
@djibattworkshop Do you need a Lipo Load Tester ? I'm not familiar on how to do this ? Can you set me on the right course on how to do this? Many thanks !!!!
P.S. My sister just got diagnosed with terminal cancer and six months to live so I may have to put this on hold. Just a FYI.
I'm not familiar on how to do this ? Can you set me on the right course on how to do this?
It could be done using any cells tester. For example iMax B6 with LiHv support. It has options to measure internal resistance and capacity. Also it could be done by electonic dummy load.
@djibattworkshop I have bqEVSWSetup00.09.75__bq3055v0.02a installed on my laptop but cannot find bqEVSWSetup00.09.75__bq3055v0.04 anywhere on TI's site or the Internet. I'm trying to resolve the issue of negative numbers on the 1st Level Security readouts. The pics show what TI Chips to pick from when BQStudio loads. Do you have any ideas where to get the .04 plugin/software so I can read these values correctly? Many Thanks.
It should be requested from TI support team.
@djibattworkshop I will contact TI. Not very hopeful they will accomadate me with my request.
