Hi, a few days ago an update arrived on my computer 4.5.0, I clicked say and run, and after this update something terrible happened. A message appeared that you used the computer last time and you used it for the 3rd time. But before updating the program, I changed the computer only once! This is the second! I never changed it to the third, because I always thought about selling the device in the future. Your update made such a mistake and now I am very upset! How can I sell the device in the future?! I bought 2 devices from you and did not change the computer after the first time.
I want to add, I didn’t do anything with the computer at all, only started the system and checked the batteries and not a single change in the computer or the system, the system worked like a clock and always did battery tests every day
In general, I want to add, Windows updates have been disabled for me for a long time and immediately, nothing changes at all since this is a laptop, not a computer. I just tested the batteries a few days ago and in the morning a window appeared - update - I updated, to my own detriment
@azzido a PC can update BIOS or the Intel ME inside the BIOS, which will trigger PC change in your S/W. even some Desktop MotherBoards have self BIOS recovery if there is a bios corruption like mine. you can check if MoBo SN has changed or different permanent values inside the BIOS, just to be fair with you customers. you can check MoBoard model or even CPU change as it's very rare to change a CPU
Windows update should not affect the new algorithm, Bios update should not affect the new algorithm, Windows reinstallation should not affect the new algorithm, Updating the windows from 10 to 11 should not affect the new algorithm.
I too saw the message today "5 out of 5" and it made me sad. I understand that the creators of this magnificent device have to ensure that it will be used "the correct way" but I can't wrap around my head why is this bound with a computer that can't be replaced or at least bios-updated and not the person that works with it. Maybe I fail to reason with it because I am of a one-man-business type.
I'm also working with Arduino, ESP and other flavors of serial connected programming micro-controllers so I occasionally have to 'convince' my poor Windows 11 computer that the USB-to-Serial drivers are still functional (the infamous incompatibility problems) ...does this also trigger 'the WARNING!' ?
