Hi there
i have sony batraya i want to get eeprom of it can you help me
why i want to buy eeprom: i have other batteries same model same chip and eeprom is faulty so the computer does not see them i will change them
solid battery:
defective battery (laptop does not detect):
no insurance, they built a straight bridge 😀
This looks like a china replacement battery and that could be reason why it's not recognized by the laptop.
Post picture of the whole PCB and the chip markings if the battery that is not recognized.
Have in mind that Sony firmware for BQ8030 is not supported yet by NLBA1.
another battery with the same specification nucisor might be right it might not read eeprom as it doesn't support nlba
working on sony, is there a sony plug-in?
Yes NLBA doesn't support BQ8030 with Sony firmware.
But the problem here is completely different, this battery is not genuine but a china clone and would be a waste of time trying to reprogram it.
Also most Sony batteries have ID chip on the PCB used to pass bios check and that is how the laptop recognizes the battery.
If the battery was genuine it could be reprogrammed via remote session with EV2300.
That's why it's never recommended to buy china replacement batteries but to recell and fix the original.
