Also I do not have an NLBA1 I am reading the battery via EV2300.

 Smbus interface located on the Pcb. On the battery connector UART interface is located. These are different ports. Yes, you need to access the pcb to connect NLBA1 device.

Make sure battery is switched Off by push button and LEDs not lit. 

Then go to Smbus tab and send these commands with 5s interval 

Register 0x23 ReadBlock

Register 0x00 WriteWord 0x0054

Register 0x23 ReadBlock 

Then paste snapshot of the log

 This command was sent not correctly. 

WriteBlock was pressed instead of WriteWord button.
